Sleeping on the Couch

Last night I slept on the couch. Sometimes it's too hard to actually make it to my bed. Don't judge me.

Anyways, I woke up around 5:30 and noted it was starting to get light, and that I probably wouldn't be able to go back to sleep if it was light out. I was wrong, and the following dreams ensued.

At first I wasn't aware I was asleep, because I was dreaming that I had slept on the couch, woken up and saw that it was getting light outside. Only the front door had been open all night, so I could see through the screen that there was this massive rainstorm, and the wind was blowing, and so the sunrise was a beautiful pink and purple poking out between the dark grey clouds. I crawled off the couch to close the door, thinking that I might have a better chance of sleeping if I couldn't hear the wind and rain, and would have slightly less light. The door wouldn't close all the way. I kept trying to push it closed, and it kept not closing all the way. I think it was the wind, and maybe a welcome mat that got wedged under the door, that kept it from closing. Finally I was able to close the door, and as I did a grey cat rubbed up against me. Great, I thought, now my roommates have a cat.

Then I dreamed that my roommates and friends that they frequently had over came into the living room where I was sleeping on the couch and set up a barbecue, and started cooking a delicious balanced breakfast of steak and gourmet pancakes. (What, you don't have that for breakfast all the time?) Both the steaks and the pancakes looked amazing, with the steaks being cooked with some herb that was making it delicious, and the pancakes having fruit and cinnamon with them. They were nice and offered me some. I don't think I ever ate any of it though.

I also had a dream that I was on Tower of Terror (debate-ably one of the best rides at Disneyland/Disney California Adventure). At one point, a rope was shot into the passenger car and I caught it, and it started out as a new part of the ride, where then we are pulled into a new hallway in the Twilight Zone. Somehow, it changed, and I was pulled onto a mountain, with creepy shadow dust ghosts that I had to eliminate.

These dreams all happened in an hour and a half.
